How to make a Buttermilk substitute

Wisconsin Buttermilk PowderHave a recipe that calls for Buttermilk and don't have any? Don't want to buy a big jug when the recipe only calls for a cup or less? Here is a solution with these simple three options to make a buttermilk substitute.

Option 1:
1 cup milk
1¾ tsp cream of tarter
- Mix together and stir.

Option 2:
1 cup milk
1 tbsp white vinegar
- Mix together and stir.

Option 3:
1 cup milk
1 cup unflavoured natural yogurt
- Mix together and stir.

Simple three options for buttermilk substitute and you won't need to buy any.
