Top 3 Better Sex Foods

The secret to a better sex life? You won't find it in the bedroom. Head to the kitchen for foods that can put you in the mood, give you stronger orgasms and improve overall sexual health.

6oz. Sirloin Steak is a powerful tool that can help produce your sex life. The protein in the meat will naturally boost the level of dopamine and norepinephrine, two chemicals in the brain that heighten sensitivity during sex. Steak is also packs with zinc, a mineral that boosts libido by reducing the body's production of a hormone called prolactin, which may interfere with arousal.

Watermelon is full with amino acids called citrulline. Research shows that citrulline relaxes blood vessels throughout the body the same way that Viagra and other drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction.

Cucumbers and cantaloupes also contain  citrulline but they have far less than watermelon.

Avocado, also called as 'testicle tree' by the ancient Aztecs, is rich in vitamin B6. Research shows that vitamin B6 is one of the nutrients necessary to maintain normal testosterone levels. The potassium in avocados also helps to regulate the women's thyroid gland. Juicy one avocado has 26% of the daily recommended value of vitamin B6 and 975 mg of potassium.

For a nutritious Avocado Milkshake recipe, you can check our post How To Make Avocado Shake in this site.

So, if you want to zest your love life, heat up the pleasure in the bedroom, why not include this three in your menu.

How Does Aging Affect An Individual’s Sex Drive

The need for romance and intimacy does not disappear. Many of the reasons for loss of sex drive are linked to physical changes in the body. Some common reasons for men are erectile issues. For women the reasons are physical and hormonal. As women get older and hormones start to dwindle, many can find themselves “not in the mood” for sex in the way they may have been in the past. And even when they are in the mood, changes in their body can result in vaginal dryness and pain during sex which can make the thought of sex unappealing. Also if women are unhappy in a relationship, if she doesn't feel good about herself, or if it hurts it can affect libido. It's hard to tease all of those factors out," says Judi Chervenak, MD, a reproductive endocrinologist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.

Men
Older men require more manual stimulation and a longer time to achieve an erection. Another normal change is the loss of orgasmic inevitability or the sensation of impending orgasm. Some older men will notice that the volume of the ejaculate decreases slightly, and the force of the ejaculate also decreases with age. The older man also loses some of the focus on orgasm. Older men can achieve a great deal of pleasure from sexual intimacy and yet not have an orgasm or ejaculate.

Masters and Johnson discovered that "human sexual response may be slowed by the aging process, but it is certainly not terminated. "The refractory period," or the time it takes to achieve another erection after ejaculation, increases with age. While a young man of 18 can often recover with an erection 15 minutes after sex, a man in his 50s may require 24 hours or more before he has another erection and he is interested in intercourse again.

Women
The capacity for sexual reproduction begins earlier in females than in males, often two years earlier. However, the commencement of puberty varies among girls and may not begin until age 14 or 15. Women differ from men in that the decline in sexual responsiveness with aging is quite gradual.

Women who remain sexually active, in fact, may be less likely to experience a drop in available vaginal lubrication. These changes are quite minimal until menopause — the most dramatic organic change that a woman undergoes as she ages.

When a woman enters her 50s she goes through menopause which causes a decline in the female hormone, estrogen. The absence of estrogen can result in decreased vaginal lubrication and changes in arousal and desire. When production of vaginal lubrication drops, this can contribute to discomfort during intercourse. Other normal changes in the older woman include a decrease in length, width, and elasticity of the vagina. Recent studies, however, indicate that the older woman has no physical limitation in her capacity to achieve and enjoy orgasm. The vaginal area and breasts may become less sensitive to touch, and that orgasm may take longer.

Ways to energize your sex drive:
  • Use lubrication, to ease vaginal dryness and to help make intercourse more enjoyable.
  • Exercising. Regular physical activity can boost feel-good endorphins and improve your body image. Kegel exercises (exercises done to tighten the pelvic muscles) can work to enhance sexual sensations and help boost desire.
  • Communicating with your partner. This can help you feel more connected, and more inclined for romance.

How Sex Can Be The Best Prescription For Good Health

Have you heard these phrase?
Men communicate to have sex
Women have sex to communicate

If you have been married or have been in a very long relationship you might agree. However, I am not going to discuss or even debate on the above. Today I am more interested to share the benefits of having sex.  According to Sex therapist Dr. Ava Cadell, “Sex is the best prescription for good health.”

1. Sex Boosts Immunity
There is a study that proved people who have sex one to two times a  week actually have an increase in their immune function. Having sex helps to fight off infections and could help you heal faster. Sex can help your body to produce more antibodies that fight off the germs that make you sick.

2. Sex Prevents Sleepless Nights
During sex, endorphins,  natural painkillers are released, and they can help a person relax and sleep better.

3. Sex Promotes Weight Loss
Moderate sex, such as 60 minutes over the course of a week, can add up to 100 calories burned.

4. Sex Strengthens Bones and Muscles
Sex helps to strengthen the vaginal muscles. During intercourse, the PC muscles stretch and contract which strengthens them. Stronger muscles provide increased sensation of orgasm.

Another way to strengthen the PC muscles is through electrical stimulation and vaginal weights.

5. Sex Reduces Chronic Pain
Having sex can actually diminish pain when suffering from chronic pain, arthritis, PMS and headaches. When having sex you need to have orgasm because it releases the surge of five times more oxytocin and then released the morphine-like endorphins that null and void the nerve endings that are creating the pain.

No orgasm? Touching and hugging provide a lot of the same health benefits, as well.

6. Sex Increased Sense of Smell
Having sex helps your sense of smell. Having sexual intercourse stimulates the pituitary gland which forms prolactin, which stimulates the part of your brain involved with smell.

7. Sex Helps to Prevent Prostate Cancer
The prostate is a gland located between the bladder and the penis. It needs to be stimulated periodically to avoid becoming enlarged, because an over sized prostate can become cancerous.

8. Sex Boost Confidence
For women sex really boosts their confidence and gives them a good self-image.

Warnings:
Although sex is healthy,  too much of it can cause an unbalance of bacteria in the vagina, which can lead to yeast infections or urinary tract infections. To help prevent these conditions, women should have the man wear a condom, urinate after sex and take a birth control pill, which will heighten a woman’s estrogen levels and help regulate the pH balance in her vagina.

Couple overcomes groom's illness with Skype wedding

Source: By Alex Dobuzinskis, Reuters

LOS ANGELES - A California couple whose wedding plans appeared thwarted when a lung infection landed the groom in the isolation ward of a hospital got married anyway over the weekend, in a ceremony conducted over Skype.

Samuel Kim and Helen Oh, both 27, had friends and family members traveling from as far away as their native Korea and from New York to their planned wedding ceremony in the southern California city of Fullerton on Saturday.

So when Kim began spitting up blood last week, he was initially too nervous to tell his bride for fear of causing her grief, he told Reuters.

When he finally did tell Oh later in the week, the couple improvised a solution by holding the wedding via the
Web video conferencing system.

"Guests said it was inspirational, they really admired my fiance for being able to stand at the altar in the manner that she did, alone and not crying the whole time," Kim told Reuters from his bed at UCI Medical Center in Orange.

"She was able to hold her ground and I was able to hold my ground, not crying or anything," he said.

Oh said the Skype wedding was not the perfect way to have a ceremony, but that guests were happy.

"He said he will make up for it, he promised me he's going to be the best husband in the world," Oh said. "He felt really terrible that he wasn't there."

The Saturday afternoon wedding utilized five live cameramen at the couple's high-tech Korean church capturing the ceremony for guests watching on jumbo screens, and for Kim himself watching on a laptop in the hospital's isolation ward.

Kim's hospital is less than 10 miles from the church, and he said he did not feel distant from the ceremony and the 500 guests there.

The professional-style presentation included split-screen images and an audio crew that gave Kim his cue, before his face was to appear on screen.

Kim's hospital room was decorated with flowers that nurses bought with their own money, he said.

Oh said that she does not credit Web technology alone for making the wedding a success. "I couldn't have done it without God," she said.

Up next for the couple: the honeymoon. Kim surprised Oh with plane tickets to Europe, where they will visit Paris and Prague, after he recovers from his lung infection.

Kim said that he expects to leave the hospital this week.

5 worst Valentine's Day Gifts

This is a reblog from Yahoo! Singapore by Fazillah Abdul Gaffa. I totally agree with her and what say you?

Wise up, guys - we might say it's the thought that counts, but we really would like you to put more thought into your Valentine's Day gifts.

Here's what not to give:

#5 A break-up or a wedding proposal
Works both ways, doesn't it? A woman doesn't want to be alone on Valentine's Day, and a clichéd wedding proposal may not be the brightest idea either.

#4 Clothes that don't fit
Whether you're buying her lingerie or the little black dress she's been eyeing, make sure it's the right size. If it's too big, she might think you see her bigger than she is, or if it's too small, she may think you want her to be a couple of sizes smaller.

Women have body issues, so just make sure you get the size right.

#3 Kitchen appliances of any kind
Yes - she has been complaining about the faulty blender, but that doesn't mean you should wrap up a blender from Harvey Norman and slap a Valentine's Day card on it. Buy her something she wants, not something she needs.

#2 Flowers
There are lots of women who enjoy receiving flowers. We don't think that is wrong, but we do think that it's absurd to fork out ridiculous amounts of money for plants that will eventually die.

Popular flowers are marked up to five times the usual price, and that sometimes doesn't even include the arrangement. So surprise her with flowers when she's least expecting it - for a movie date, on her birthday, but save that money on Valentine's Day for something worth remembering.

#1 Stuffed Toys
Courtney Cox's best friend in the TV series "Cougar Town," muttered very wise words: "Saint Valentine's Day? What kind of saint decided that women have to put out because guys bought them an eight-dollar teddy bear?"

Stuffed toys top our list because they're not only the most inane gifts a man can give a woman - it is also unromantic and sick - all at the same time. Why would you give a woman you love a stuffed animal children play with?

How to Get the Perfect Valentine's Gift for Your Boyfriend

KISS ME VALENTINE DECORStill looking for the perfect Valentine's gift for your boyfriend but worried you'll be swept away by Valentine's mania? Here are some tips on creating more personalized, caring Valentine's gifts for the special boy or man in your life that will show just how much you care.

Steps
  1. Find out what his Love Language is. People value different things when it comes to expressions of love. If your boyfriend feels most loved when he hears words of affirmation or receives physical touch, he will appreciate loving words or a back rub more than a gift wrapped bottle of after shave. If he values acts of service, think about something you can do for him -- perhaps a project or chore he's been putting off -- and do it!
  2. Ask first! About a week before Valentine's Day, talk to your boyfriend and ask if he has anything special in mind that he'd appreciate. Don't badger him; just ask pointedly once and work from his answers. If he can't give you any, suggest that he thinks about it for a bit and to get back to you later that same day. If he doesn't have any ideas, don't pressure him!
  3. Match your gift ideas with the type of romancing he fancies. Does he really appreciate a romantic approach that will involve booking a special restaurant for a five-course meal or filling the swimming pool with rose petals? Or is he more comfortable with just the usual night on the town with lots of laughter and favorite beers as the two of you pub crawl? Take advantage of what you know about him to craft the ultimate gift or experience.
  4. Do something for him rather than giving him something. If he has long wanted his hair dyed black, you could buy him some hair dye and prepare a home salon and dye it for him. Make sure you feel confident enough to get it right! You could also do this for home pedicures, massages, a yoga lesson, being a style assistant for a new look, etc. - anything you have said you'd get around to helping him do or learn some day.
  5. Go homemade. It's not just about buying stuff. Valentine's is really about showing that you care. Make your boyfriend a card that says how much you love him. Write a poem or some sweet prose. Anything to say how much you care about him and the reasons why. Many people just love being told the exact reasons why they matter so much; this can be the best gift of all.
  6. Give a kiss for a gift! Guys sometimes would just like a passionate kiss. If you haven't given him one yet, wow, this will be special. But most of you will have already kissed; so it's how you present the kiss that matters. Take him somewhere unique and make the kiss something out of the ordinary.
    • For example, take a trip up a cable car, take him in your arms in the cable car and say: "We are kissing on top of this mountain in a cable car because you put me on top of the world, I love you completely". Kiss so long that the crowd claps you both.
  7. Bake something for your sweetheart. Bake some heart-shaped cookies with hundreds and thousands and "I love you" printed on them in icing. Arrange in a box and present it to him with a card.
  8. Stock the bar or man cave. Stock up your boyfriend's favorite drink supplies as a nice surprise. Be sure to add some snack food treats as well, and perhaps even a book on making cocktails or the history of beer. You might also like to consider something he can hang in the bar, such as autographed sports, TV, or movie star memorabilia.
  9. Decorate a photo of the two of you. Choose a perfect photo of the two of you, decorate a frame for it and write a little something to go with it, including why this photo means a lot to you. This is a very personalized and caring gift. You can even make a wallet-sized one and include a new wallet if you've got a good idea what sort of wallet he'd like. Put a good luck heart or coin in it as well.
  10. If you're out of ideas try some traditional stand-bys:
    • Chocolates. Go for dark chocolates with strong flavors like rum and raisin, chili peppers, or peppercorns.
    • A sweater or a t-shirt from a favorite brand or store.
    • A subscription to a sports or business magazine you know he'll enjoy reading.
    • A selection of his favorite movies. Check what he has already before buying though.
    • A watch. Have it engraved with love from you. This suits the more serious couple.
    • Grooming products. Help him to stay looking his best.
    • Boxer shorts. There might be a hint tied up in this type of gift!
    • Lingerie, let him unwrap it and then you wear it, just for him. Remember, men are visual creatures.

It's not always the guy's job to provide the romance in your relationship. Make Valentine's Day memorable by finding the perfect gift for him.

Tips
  • Guys don't usually like glass as that's a guy give girl thing.
  • If he loves you that much, anything you do as he will love with all his heart and still give you kisses and hugs afterwards.
  • Pay attention to his hobbies and activities. Guys are not always about drinking and sports. If he's into model planes, trains or ships, talk to the staff at the hobby shop he usually gets his supplies and find out what he's always looking at. Get him to show you his setup and plans, then get him something that's on his list without you having asked for something specific. Same thing if he collects comics or plays roleplaying games. A new game book or supplement can lead to an entire weekend of fun for both of you.
  • A man who reads may appreciate a bookstore gift certificate.
  • Many men like gadgets, especially multi-tool pocket knives and other knives. Find out if he collects these or likes them, watch him when you pass displays while going out shopping for something else. That can be a very romantic gift. You may find him using it on your behalf next time a bottle needs opening or something needs to be fixed!
Warnings
  • Don't buy him anything he has asked for unless you feel you should or you really wanted this advice and asked for it; you don't want to be predictable or a shopping cart. One way is to ask at different times and look for things he's mentioned more than once rather than asking right before the holiday.

How to Know if You're in a Healthy Relationship

Your Intercultural Marriage: A Guide to a Healthy, Happy RelationshipThere are certain qualities that exist in a healthy relationship. Find out if yours is healthy and work on the qualities that are lacking.

Support
Look for support in your relationship. If you feel your partner is always there through life’s ups and downs, forgives you when you are wrong, and supports all of your goals, you know you are in a healthy relationship.

Tip: Say you are sorry when you are wrong and forgive your partner for their mistakes.

Communication
Realize that communication is essential to a healthy relationship. Keep the communication flowing and give each other time to express both positive and negative feelings.

Respect
Respect one another. Being treated with respect is essential in a healthy relationship. If you are both respectful of each others thoughts and feelings, even though both parties may not be in agreement, the relationship will be healthier.

Honest
Be honest with each other and your relationship will flourish. No healthy relationship can survive dishonesty.

Trust
Trust each other. Trust needs to be present in order to have a healthy relationship. If you do not trust each other, you are not in a healthy relationship.

Dependability
Look for dependability. When you and your partner both show up when you say you will and do what you say you will do, your relationship will grow.

Learn
Learn from each others mistakes, appreciate the healthy qualities in your relationship, and work to maintain the health of the relationship.

Show Me The LOVE

BoldLoft "Say I Love You" Couple Pillowcases-Christmas Gift Ideas for Couples, Romantic Christmas Gifts for Him or for HerVery often, a child develops a sense of security based on his experiences at home. If parents openly show love for each other and do not quarrel in front of the child, he will feel safe and this in turn helps him develop his self-confidence.

There is a saying,

"The best gift for a child is a harmonious relationship between parents."

Some couples may have neglected their marriage as they focus on children and their careers. Thus, their spouse becomes less important. The relationship either stagnates or deteriorates. As such, couples should give themselves time to build on their relationship as it affects the well-being of their children. What spouses can do are:
  • Show appreciation to each other in front of the children. Do not take things for granted. Words such as "Please", "Thank you", "I miss you", and "I love you" are important.
  • Do something special for your partner. Do something you are familiar with and it can help you and your partner rekindle the kind of passionate feelings you have for each other.
